Zip Mold

For both injection molding and thermoforming, a high quality mold is essential to producing large amounts of quality containers and lids rapidly. In order to ensure that we obtain the highest quality molds at reasonable cost and lead time, Polytainers acquired Zip Mold. As a consequence, we have a partner with full mold design and manufacturing capability, and an understanding of Polytainers' manufacturing requirements.

Our Molding R&D Center, which is housed at our subsidiary Zip Mold, includes two injection-molding machines. These machines allow us to develop and test molds under shop floor conditions, without interrupting regular production.

In addition, Polytainers has a variety of unit mold bases that can be used with prototype unit cavity stacks. Unit cavity mold testing is an important front-line analysis step used to verify the function and processing of a new container or lid, or to assess modifications to a current product.
